When I Open to Life

When we open to life, we naturally embrace our true natures as beings of Divine Love. We rediscover a deep and nurturing connection to the Universal Love supporting our journeys of earth. This work resonates to the higher truth that at the core of our existence, we are deeply connected to all life. Excerpt “When I hear blossom petals jostling with brittled leaves, released at last from winter’s grasp, like curled, bronzed kites that dance across the sun-crossed street…I sense them move in waves, like swishing brushstrokes that waltz in tandem with your vast and vaporous body. The hardened leaves skip crisscross over the pavement, their tips echoing like faint stacattoed plucks…of far-off violins that rise and fall in pitch and duration. Like racing siblings, the new and old fly upon your playful breath… higher still, like colored flocks of tiny birds who swirl and dive in rounded dusty-rose and pearl-hued whites. With wistful abandon, they flutter by, pausing only briefly still, to kiss my skin, and then to finally rest upon the green-gray canvas, like plumped dots of glistening snow in full-bloomed spring that soon will fade and melt into the grass. Within my open heart, your gentle swirls of breath, like tips of white-winged doves sooth my soul with deep connection–the precious wonder that is our beloved Gaia. I close my eyes and breathe in life, and I smell your essence painting earth, releasing birth to death and back again. Your ever-changing body surrounds me, enticing me with balanced Mother/Father Love, as if your warm, and yet elusive being would carry me to some place magical–far, far away, yet still so very close to my true heart that somehow, you feel even more like Home, than home itself. I feel your cleansing presence, urging me to dance with passion–the conscious breath within my beating heart.
