The Unmerciful Sea

In September of 1985 Hurricane Gloria swept across the Outer Banks on her way north across the Atlantic coast. For the tiny village of Ocracoke, NC, it was only a glancing blow, but for the few locals who stayed behind, the hurricane was only the beginning of their troubles. Washed up from the depths of the Graveyard of the Atlantic was the once missing U-857, a Nazi U-boat, a shipwreck from another time, now stranded upon the shallow sandbar that formed along Ocracoke’s white sand beach. Inside, the crew, long forgotten from the twisted cause they served, stewed in the darkness, cursed to live forever entombed in the vessel they had used to end the lives of so many. So when the hatches finally open and the crew of U-857 see the world for the first time in over forty years, life on Ocracoke for the few islanders still on the coast gets turned upside down as the history and memories of time long past comes back.But something worse is boiling in the Atlantic. Far more sinister creatures have survived just as long, brought back to life through hate and revenge, a bitter reward for thousands of lives cut short. Horrid nightmares come to battle the cursed last ship of the Kriegsmarine, the last vestige of a hateful cult long thought lost and defeated. The slaughter between cursed sailor and reanimated wraith means hell will come to the islanders.And Ocracoke will be caught in the middle.
