The Real Battle

There is a war going on. The Bible speaks of a powerful war in an unseen dimension, one that exists all around us. It is a war against “the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Eph 6:12). The Scriptures make it clear that these powerful forces are actually demons and that they are out to destroy every human being on earth. But instead of being afraid of them, they should be afraid of the Christ who lives within us. That, however, isn’t always the case. As a result many people live defeated, fear-filled lives. Much of the problem has to do with “understanding.” Nobody fights a war effectively unless they know who and what they are fighting.
