Official synopsis Publisher

“Profiler Extraordinaire” – That is Cooper Holloway, the BAU’s top profiler. He is sought after by the world’s most famous law enforcement agencies such as Scotland Yard and Interpol, to profile some of their most baffling cases. He is also sought after by a sadistic killer, hell-bent on revenge. One night, Cooper receives a disturbing call from someone saying he just murdered a prominent retired judge, someone Cooper cared for and respected. The killer also said in the next three weeks, he would kill one person a week, each one, someone Cooper cared for, all in the name of revenge because of a negative profile submitted by the agent, which caused the unsub’s rejection to the BAU, causing him to lose everyone and everything he cared about. Cooper thought it was a prank call until he goes to the judge’s home to find the mutilated body of his mentor, and Cooper realizes the caller had every intention of carrying out his threats. Detective Leah Stevens is in Washington on a special internship with the Criminal Investigative Division (C.I.D.), when she is assigned to assist with the investigation of the killer’s first victim. There she is reunited with FBI Agent and Profiler, Cooper Holloway, and one look at the too fine agent made her realize six months of separation from him, did make her heart grow fonder. As the investigation heats up, so does their desire for each other, and both gradually realize what they feel for each other goes beyond the norm of lust. Added to the mix is a seasoned detective with questionable moral ethics, who’s heading the investigation of the murders. Cooper suspects there’s something just not right about the veteran detective, but at the moment needs him to help put the pieces together if he is going to stop the unsub’s killing spree. The clock is ticking, and with each week that passes, another person Cooper cares for has fallen victim to the unsub, and it becomes a game of cat and mouse. The killer’s end game: To end the life of Profiler Cooper Holloway. The Profiler promises a plot of twists and turns, lust and love spun out of control, and page after page of “can’t-put-it-down-till-the-very-end” suspense.
