Raymond Tallis’ first two books of poems Fathers and Sons and Between the Zones were published by IRON Press 30 years ago. Since then Tallis has become a polymath, a philosopher, novelist, cultural critic and retired medical physician and clinical neuroscientist with numerous acclaimed books under his belt. He appears annually at the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival and was a guest on Desert Island Discs.
Three decades on he returns to IRON Press and to poetry with this new collection which explores the seasons, age and youth, speech and silence, epiphanies of light and darkness.
