Official synopsis Publisher
Snippets From My Soul shows the progress, via short ditties, longer poems, essays and poem/essays of one man’s Spiritual Awakening to his True, Eternal Self or Soul. The ditties and poems were always seen by the author as lessons that were being shared with his human personality, and which became the IDEAL which he is still striving to exemplify as Purely as he can.
Throughout the writings, the underlying theme is always recognizing “… the still, small voice within one’s Heart… “, and then following it unconditionally. Whether the author’s first poem, The Veil, written in 1987, where he realizes that each of us is a Soul That’s hidden beneath the outer personality, or his most recent poem/essay, Be True To Your Nature, written in 2006, where he discusses the difficulty that Souls encounter from early on because of the fearful, negative programming they receive as children, thus preventing their True Natures from shining forth, the message is consistently the same.
Although the book is not “religious” in the way that the term is used today, looking at the root of the word “religion”, we find the Latin “religare”, meaning to “reconnect,” which was the purpose of religion… to reconnect the Souls of humanity back to Their Creator. Some of the essays give the author’s interpretations of such ancient teachings as “The 10 Commandments”, “The Our Father”, and “The Beatitudes”, as well as showing the similarities, via “The Inanity of the ego”, between the human ego and Count Dracula.
The author believes that one means of changing the way things are going on planet Earth is for people to start making the shift from a body/personality centered consciousness, to a Soul/God centered ONE. This would Truly mark the long awaited beginning of Creating Heaven on Earth.
