Plan B When Your Plan Fails and God’s Prevails.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is alive and well behind prison walls and while some might believe prison is the end of the road for men and women who have gone astray, those of us who volunteer on the inside see how it can be a brand new beginning for them. I’ve heard many say that before they came to Christ they felt unloved, discarded by society, lost, confused and without purpose. Yet, when they are introduced to Jesus, their hearts became filled with meaning, acceptance, faith, hope and the greatest of these, which is love. They discovered a new family right where they’re at. They found that the church isn’t a building, but a body of believers who can come together and embrace them for who they are, as they are. I, too, have found my place among them. I am at home when I’m in their presence. For those who are in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation. We are all one in Spirit, and it’s such a privilege to serve, worship and grow in my walk with the Lord, right along side them. They have brought healing to my heart, a purpose to my step, and for that I am so very thankful. This book holds 20 testimonies of men who were headed down a road of destruction, but thanks to volunteers that go behind the walls they found hope for a better future. As I went in and heard their stories I kept hearing a reoccurring theme, “I wish I could go out and share my story with others so they would have hope too.” This book is the answer to not only their prayers but mine as well. I pray that many would find hope in these testimonies and truly know that God does work all things together for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose.
