I thought it was all over. I thought I had the antidote. I thought I was cured as I stripped myself bare in front of God. Can you remember the first toxic relationship you ever encountered? Have you ever experienced someone dying in your arms? Have you had the fate of someone’s life in your hands, leaving you to make a decision on whether they live or die? Have you ever quarreled with a loved one as they took their last breath, not even giving you the opportunity to say I’m sorry? I didn’t figure it out until I was on my knees in desperate need of a concoction to fill the void my emotions had created. I drank the poison as my body absorbed the intoxicating flames, crying tears of acid. My first and last toxic relationship was one I’d had from birth. However, the final curtain call landed me behind bars. From the emotional drunken fantasies, to the dark, raged-filled nights, I watched my life spiral out of control as Mrs. Toxic created alter egos to survive emotional state of mind. Throughout the good and bad memories, the unspoken words and the missed moments, different personas took over my mind. The alcoholic traits, the good, bad, and ugly debates, the cooked mastermind, the businesswoman who raised the stakes–when I thought it was all over, that’s when I realized it was truly the beginning of the battle within Mrs. Toxic.
