The little girl had no past, and as far as Bobby Harmon could tell, not much of a future. But Bobby knows a survivor when he sees one. After spending his teen years behind bars, and blowing his one chance at living life on the straight and narrow, Bobby returns to jail for his roaring twenties. Now, at thirty-four, he slings beers at the Black Knight’s biker clubhouse not because he wants to, but for a convict with only one legally acceptable skill, choices are limited. Bobby keeps his head low and his mouth shut. He tolerates the crudeness of his brothers in arms nursing his own wounds privately as he struggles to keep his own demons at bay. Then Boss, their esteemed leader and proven psychopath, decides to kidnap a nameless child. Bobby takes her under his wing to keep her safe. He teaches his little helper how to sling beers like a pro and stay out of harm’s way when the parties get too rowdy. But when a guy prospecting to become a full-fledged member goes too far with the little girl, Bobby sees red. Bobby puts the girl above his crew so Boss decides to readjust his priorities.
