J. M. Emswiller is an Emmy winning sound mixer for movies and television. He had over 30 years’ experience in the entertainment industry. When he was not on a motion picture project, Emswiller also worked as a state constable, serving his community.
Emswiller was an avid outdoorsman; his interests included gardening, fly fishing, shooting, hiking, camping, and motorcycling. As such, he was concerned about the environment and the creatures of the world, one of his motivations for writing Little White Spots. He lived outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his wife.
