Letters from Grandpa

Growing up, many of us had that wonderful opportunity to sit down with Grandpa and listen to the wisdom of his years. For those not so fortunate to have received the sage advice from the old man, Letters From Grandpa, fills that void. Dr. Gary K. Walker, a retired college administrator, has written a book for people of all ages. The book contains “letters” that suggest positive and practical approaches in dealing with issues and challenges common to people of all ages. The book is colorful with illustrations to introduce the letters and a humorous wit that makes the book a delightful experience for the reader. The book includes such topics as “Don’t Feed The Gorilla,” “When Life Hands You A Lemon,” “Be A Helping Hand,” “When People Say and Do Bad Things to You,” “How To Make Listening Work For You,” “Dare To Take The Risk,” “Know And Use Your Resources,” “What Is Happiness,” and many more (some suggested by the grand kids)! The book has been endorsed by parents, guardians, and grandparents and include such people as a retired FBI agent, a retired banker, a CEO, an Associate District Judge, church ministers, youth leaders, professional counselors, and youth of all ages (junior high, high school, and college students). In addition to retail outlets, the book is being used as a teaching and guidance resource by several nonprofit organizations and churches that provide direct services to youth.
