Just Wide Enough for Two

Emily Dickinson has been in love with her best friend, Susan Gilbert, for years. When she hears that Susan is moving back to Massachusetts from New York, she is ecstatic. But when Susan does finally come home, it is Emily’s brother, Austin, who expresses a romantic interest in Susan. Meanwhile, Emily meets a new man, Benjamin Newton, who captures her attention and piques her interest, though not in the same way Susan does. Perhaps she should let old feelings remain in the past. Perhaps it’s time she outgrows the feelings she has for Susan. After all, what are the chances Susan even remembers what happened in the woods a few years ago?

Susan is thrilled to be moving back to Massachusetts after so many years away. Most of all, she is happy to see her friend, Emily again.
