Preface by the author Stewart I met Rob Walsh at a time when my group of practices had grown significantly through the sheer hard work and determination of myself and my team. I did have clearly defined personal goals but I didn t have particular goals for my business other than to somehow grow. I must admit that I considered the terms Mission, Vision and Core values to be corporate and vague. This book has been written in conjunction with the complete restructuring of my business according to the principles set out here. First and foremost the Vet in practice must become a state of the art clinician and this requires time, financial investment and education in training. But the delivery of Veterinary care always occurs in the context of a business environment.
