Are you a book lover? Well, there is nothing like a local Georgetown bookstore that is run by volunteers. They have thoughtfully curated a collection of donated books, and are super excited to help you find what you are looking for. The best part is… the proceeds go towards scholarships for students! So glad I found this place…

This gorgeous two story bookstore with history connecting it to Bryn Mawr is unique and charming. Stop by for a peek — the prices are good. More enticingly, if you have any extra bags (paper or otherwise), or some books you don’t mind parting with because they remain untouched donate them! The volunteer staff are so kind and happy to help.

It was an absolute delight to visit this bookstore earlier today. What an amazing collection of unique books. The staff were very friendly and committed to their work. I strongly recommend visiting this store if you are in the D.C. area.

When I imagine a BOOKSHOP, The Lantern is exactly what I imagine: a shop completely covered with beautiful, unique, meaningful literature. I was there one day with two of my friends as we were wandering around DC for fun and I came across a book with the most magnificent cover I've ever seen. That book would change my life forever and I am not the same person because of it. Everything is a little expensive, however (which is why it has been rated 4 stars).

Cute little book shop run by alumni of Bryn Mawr College. We had a fun time chatting with them and my wife bought an interesting book. A nice and cozy space.
