The Haunted Book Shop

This is probably going to be my go-to bookstore. The staff was PHENOMENAL and I have never been here before. Right when I walked it, I felt welcomed. They showed me all the sections of the store and I love that they just let you be while you shop in peace. They also specialize in local authors as well. I definitely want to start shopping here to support a local business.

This place is a gem! Such a cute local store. The staff left handwritten notes to highlight books they've read and liked – it felt so personalized like someone was guiding me through the options. Loved it. A must-see downtown

Great independent bookstore. It is so clean and organized. I was there for order pickup and the customer service person made it so easy. They were so friendly. The whole environment has a laid back friendliness to it. They had an eclectic selection of items across all category. I really like how they support local authors and books related to Mobile, AL and the south. As well as having new and used items in all caregoried including graphic novels, horror, science fiction, romance and children's books. Their pricing on my item was so much cheaper than other places . I think it's incredible that they took a chance on a kickstart buy and had it for a very fair price. I highly recommend anyone who has not checked this place to go there. Its important to support local independent bookstores. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

i love this place. everyone who works here is super kind, helpful and welcoming! they have a great selection of books and small gifts. mr.bingley is also a super sweet kitty! saw him today and he was super talkative
