Tattered Cover Book Store & Café Colfax

Love this store! I could wander it all day. Make sure you check out the bargain books in the basement! They didn't have the book I wanted but I didn't leave empty handed. Plenty of wonderful options.

This was such an awesome bookstore. I could get lost in all the bookshelves. The Cafe service was fantastic and the employees were super knowledgeable about the different genres

Quiet, clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere for studying. Cafe is awesome! Oh and there’s tons of books.

Enjoyed visiting this book store and browsing the large selection. While I mostly stayed in the fiction and fantasy areas, I also noticed they had a cool assortment of books in a mythology section. One of the booksellers helped recommend books, and I’m excited to start reading those recommendations.nnMy daughter and husband also enjoyed the children’s area in the middle of the store.nnIt’s worth noting that this store was recently acquired by Barnes and Noble, per signs in the store.

Everybody working in the bookstore is always very nice and helpful. The lady in the coffee shop may want to come to the other side to learn how to engage with people. Super friendly to the guy she knew ahead of me. I wished her a happy Saturday and her face went to frown and what do you want. Did not say thanks, have a nice day. Just here you go when she gave me my change and set my coffee on the counter without saying anything. Too bad and unfortunate. I hope she has a better day after she waited on me. I regret leaving a tip, but it is habit.
