Murder By The Book

Wow! What a gem! I was not expecting to come here for Christmas shopping but in searching for a local bookstore I found Murder By The Book. HUGE selection and the employees were quick to get me the book I was looking for but also the space is set up so well I easily found an author I wanted to browse options for. While I was checking out he told me about how this was on his staff pick list and made me feel so confident in my purchase for a friend!nnThe space is very large and open but I loved the dark and moody vibe of the decor/paint. I’ll definitely be back to kill time and browse even more!

I could have happily spent hours in this bookstore. It came highly recommended after someone learned I love mysteries and thrillers, and it completely lived up to the hype. I was genuinely in awe of the selection and left with four new books — I’ve already started reading one.nThe atmosphere is what really makes this place special. They host author signings (with a flyer of upcoming ones given at the counter), which makes it feel like a true community space for book lovers. The staff were absolutely lovely — they even joked with us at checkout (“we love a man with a credit card — I bet he’ll even carry the books for you”), which gave us a good laugh and made the visit feel extra welcoming.nI regret not asking for recommendations as they seem incredibly knowledgeable, but that just gives me another reason to come back.

love this book shop theme!none of the employees (possibly the owner? i don't know) was super knowledgeable, i watched her assist an inquisitive customer who only had an inkling of what he was looking for and after a few suggestions, she found exactly what he wantedni got myself a good find too, i'll go back

One of the most unique bookstores I’ve been to. I loved their curation of horror, mystery and true crime. Staff was helpful with suggestions and lots of commentary throughout the store. Signed editions were widely available in addition to gift items.

I have so much fun every time I visit this store! The staff are always so understanding and helpful. They are the nicest people and I love just talking to them about books! I’ve been attending events here for almost a year now and I have LOVED every minute! I’ve been able to meet some AMAZING authors!nnI look forward to visiting and attending all the events currently planned!!
