If you are a book, novel, toy, Dvd, Cd, music, toy, game or board game lover. This is a perfect place for you. This McKay's location is about everything you could want to read, listen or play including some rare items that it is very difficult to finds (like playstation, gameboy, old video games and consoles (like 20-30 years ago and about to be a a antique) the price is very reasonable mixed and sometimes they are in a good shape and quality, please prepare you timeline, you might end up with 2-3 hours easy.
Thought this was just a quick buy and sell type store but it's so much more! Set up like a good department store, lots of niche products as well as goods for general consumption. LPs, DVDs CDs, loads of books of all sorts, instruments, hifi equipment, toys and board games and more. Found a few real gems!
This place has something for everyone. Classic video games and accessories. Super nintendo, Atari, to more modern video game consoles. Toys and plush toys for kids. Great selection of vinyls. Rare book treasures and more popular as well. I have found books I haven’t at other used books stores. The prices are ridiculous. I just bought 6 hardcover books for $9. Prices in Comics and graphic novels are not particularly cheap, but are not bad either. Great selection though. Great selection of board games and puzzles. It’s definitely my favorite store (not exaggerating).
Not as good as the old place in Greensboro but it had that nostalgia about it. This obviously has the box store feel but still plenty of deals to be had. The selection of stuff was good but I like the Winston Salem location better. Parking lot is not big enough for the volume of people on the weekend it's slammed but checkout is fast and efficient. Overall it's a great place to shop for vintage media and electronics
