Great selection of books and other book-related memorabilia (shirts, bookmarks, themed pouches, stickers, etc.)! An even better sitting area in the back to begin to read/sort through all of your books. They do have bathrooms for customers and great friendly staff as well! If I lived in the area, I’d come here more often but this makes me wish we had a place like this [in Colorado Springs].
This is just a magical place (but most bookstores are). I went in with a list but of course came out with a couple more books. I was specifically going for a recent popular title but didn't see it. When I asked they said they were out of stock but that the UPS truck had just pulled up and if I waited a bit, I could have one fresh off the truck! Of course I had to shop some more. Service is always great here and you never know what books you will discover that you NEED.nnAlways check out their events. There are a lot that are free but the ticketed ones are well worth it! They bring in some amazing world-class authors!!!!
I purchased two delightful kids books here. They had a large seasonal selection as well as enduring classics. A good place to browse and perhaps stumble upon a gem or two.
I love that Magic City gets to host so many great events. I don’t live close enough to attend, but it is nice they bring people to Oklahoma. I love their recommendations. I do agree though, with the comment below, that out of every bookstore I have been to, this one is the least friendly. I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged the 30-45 min I was in the store. I was by the cashier looking at signed books and I made comments to him, and he nodded, basically. He never asked if he could help me or any of the other people who came in the store while I was there. I have been to this one 3-4 times and I am not sure I have ever had a great experience (other than the selection). I love how they feature Oklahoma authors.
Great bookstore. Stopped in to pick up a new book while on an overnight trip. Too many options. Ended up with a couple. 😁 Friendly staff. Look forward to visiting again on the next trip!
