Laney College Bookstore

They had everything I needed. It is very quiet in there and no loud doorbell rings. They only had Laney College merch though, none for the other Peralta Community colleges unfortunately.

The bookstore is spacious and they play various styles of music overhead while you're waiting. The waiting is the issue there. The lines to purchase books are extremely long and it would be helpful if they had more employees available. Overall, the staff are kind and courteous.

Some good, some bad, overall OK-ish. Some people working there are super helpful and know the system, so can tell you exactly what you need to do to get your course books. Others just give you a blank stare… The worst part is not having the textbooks available, with no ETA or other explanation of why you can't get the required materials.nnEdit 2024: They don't buy back books, they use a mail in service. I think they're actually owned by Follets. What a hassle.

Be sure to order online and visit when the store isn’t busy, or you’ll be waiting a long time! Spring is Free 2023 so be sure to use that for your books, the credit is valid until the end of the semester so there is still time to sign up for accelerated classes online!

I LOVE the campus!!! Everyone including Katrina at the Laney Eagles Best treated me good and a valued student in my learning adventures yep😀😀! And Laney College is an Excellent campus, a Good campus in learning and starting a career of your choice😀. Thank you all at Laney and Bless your Hearts now😀😀
