I'm from Arizona, just driving around the southwest for fun, decided to stop in this mega comics and everything else store. They have comics of all kinds, a very impressive signed and graded comics selection, signed comics, celebrity autographs, framed signed authenticated pictures, everything has authentication seals mostly from Beckett. There's a decent singles TCG selection with prices on each card.nnThey have a huge gaming area where you can come here and play for free. Tons of good quality books and manga selection with complete sets. I absolutely loved their figures/figurines selection from both used and new. An impressive high quality figure selection, one of the best in the southwest USA, definitely on the shortlist.nnPrices were moderate overall, some were insane but given the size and rarity that is to be expected. An impressive Batman selection, and Star Wars everything! I loved walking around this entire store, high quality merchandise throughout.nnSome minor drawbacks-n- Only two toilets in the men's restroom, given the size of this location, that seems small.n- Some employees were stuck in their own lane and didn't seem to want to interact with anyone, the guy in the autograph section while seemingly friendly was not paying attention. If I'm going to potentially spend $550, you should ask me if I need help, not walk right by me (small gripe).nn—nGarrick talked with me for a moment, he is very friendly and approachable. I would say he's an allstar employee.nnOverall, 100% worth checking out. Drive out of your way to see Heroes & Fantasies.

I visit this place a lot. Mostly coming in for trade-ins and with my girlfriend and I have to say. I’ve been to the old location since I was young and have never had a bad experience in my entire time at either location. Honestly, this is my go to store in San Antonio. Everything is reasonably priced, staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their products and the vibes themselves are just good. I don’t think I’ve ever regretted a purchase here before, every time I visit something new is on display. I never feel embarrassed or ashamed there, it’s nerd heaven.nnI remember my fond memories of visiting the old location with my mother and happily running around and begging her to get something, (always worked lol). Skip to present day, I’m 20, going to college have a job, and making my own money and happily spending my paychecks here. Have many shops I frequent and visit but Heros and Fantasies will always be my first stop. 💜

I was visiting from Montana and.my friends took me here to experience a Mecca of the comic industry. I walked in and was.blown away at the sheer scale of it. They have back issues, stabbed collector issues, new issues, trades, hardbound… just crazy. Sideshow statues, action figures, just every format of collectibles imaginable. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I almost wish I lived in San Antonio.

Wow this place is amazing!! There is SO much to look at, and the employees are so helpful and nice!! I was able to get my boyfriend a great gift for Valentine’s Day!

Heroes and Fantasies has a fantastic collection of games, comics, collectibles, and memorabilia. This location in particular is the larger one in San Antonio with it's smaller sister store on Pat Booker road still boasting a rather large collection. The customer service is great and no matter what counter you visit, your questions will be answered accurately. I especially love the amount of events that take place in this store and they have a large schedule for anyone to see upcoming tournaments or celebrity visits. My only gripe when it comes to the larger store, is that the prices for singles in the large case can slip through the cracks in terms of accuracy. Every other aspect more than exceeds expectations! Definitely a great place for novice and veteran nerds to get any and everything to enjoy their hobbies!!
