This is not close to me but every time I go I always find gems for my small book collection. My intentions are always just to go and look, but I always find something that I can't pass up. The staff there are so friendly and down the Earth and they even check on you. When you're looking around and roaming, the actual store not only has books but it has games, Manga, anime, comics and more.nI found 3 books with sprayed edges that were theirbhalf price, and I had to grab them. I also found a Harry Potter board game for $14.99 that I've never seen before brand new the price on it. I had to get it. There is no way I couldn't pick it up for my collection.nI'm gonna leave the pictures here, but I don't go often cause its to far away. But when I do I always find gems, if you have a Half price bookstore anywhere near you, from time to time drop in, you'll find something that you weren't expecting to find at an amazing price.

I stopped by Half Price Books to pick up a title the local library didn’t carry, and I’m so glad I did. The online ordering system wasn’t working, but the attendants were incredibly kind and helpful. One of them personally walked me over to the section where I could find the book, and from there I ended up browsing around.nnThey have an amazing clearance and “last chance” section where you can score books for just a few cents to a few bucks—seriously a dream for book lovers. And for those looking for something rare or unique, they also have a collector’s corner with more expensive, high-quality finds. I’ve bought from their collector's corner back in Texas and can honestly say the books are absolutely worth the price. This location had an impressive selection I’ll definitely be coming back to check out again.nnWhen I went to check out, the attendant was super friendly and noticed a slight accent. He asked where I was from, and when I mentioned I had just moved from Texas, he shared that he actually helped open the location I used to visit there. We chatted for a bit about the good ol’ Lone Star State—such a fun coincidence!nnAll in all, it was a great experience. I’ve never had a bad time at Half Price Books, and I’m so glad the same great vibe is here in Arizona.

We took our children to this store today to buy books with money they had earned themselves. They were so excited and enjoyed looking at the selection of children’s literature and activity books. We found there to be a wide selection of books that were reasonably priced.nHowever the experience took a negative turn as we made our way up to the checkout counter where featured books included cover artwork of men kissing each other, exposed cleavage and on the checkout counter: a display shelf full of Michael Meyers Halloween horror memorabilia.nI am upset that this is out for all eyes to see, especially my young children.nI am not criticizing the items themselves however their placement, right next to the checkout counters, is not appropriate.nWhen I vocalized this complaint to the staff member, my concerns were dismissed saying it’s up to the manager about what is displayed.nI hope to be able to talk to the manager about this issue otherwise we will take our business somewhere else.

Fair prices and great variety. However the collectable books: owl crate, fairy loot, etc? Check other sellers online for pricing because there were a few that were a bit higher than what you could find on Pango and Mercari.

Decided to bring in some books that I've already read and that my young son doesn't need to get ahold of lol. Based on what the sell them for, and how quick and easy it was, it was very fair. Averaged out to $4-5 for newer paperbacks. While waiting I checked on what they were selling the same books for if they had copies, which was $9.49. Seems more than reasonable to me as they now have to have the space to sell them and I have l have more room for other books.
