Froggie’s 5 & 10 Toy Store

We had a rather disappointing experience here. The amount and selection is absolutely incredible that said without proper staff it is not a place I would want to go back and give any more money to. Especially when you cater toward kids your staff should at least at the minimum be able to speak politely to them. When we first walked in my daughter walked by a cheap yet precarious placed toy and it fell off of its hook. A dark haired woman rather sharply and rudely spoke down to my daughter telling her she “had to be more careful” it wasn’t exactly what she said it was in the way she said it. Then at check out I asked twice if the guy had gotten everything wrung up including a little fidget toy which was sitting in top of the puzzle and books I had purchased. The cashier said yes twice. I told him we didn’t need a bag or a receipt and I handed my kids their purchases and we proceeded to walk out. The cashier then rushed after my son and took the toy from his hands and said he couldn’t have it. I told him we paid for it and even said I asked him if he got everything… he then said oh “I don’t think we did.” We went back and looked at the thrown away receipt and in fact we did not pay for that toy even though it was stacked with the four other items. Totally fine no issue paying for it. The problem is taking something out of my son’s hands in such a reactive manner instead of calmly speaking to any of us. Sharply chastising my daughter for something that wasn’t even her fault is just not okay. I am absolutely underwhelmed and very annoyed with the lack of ability in speaking to children and even adults. Please do better.nnAdding an edit: on the drive home I expressed to my father what had happened and he told me he also had a negative experience with the dark haired woman. He was testing out different hackie sacks and deciding on which ones he wanted to purchase when the woman came up and butted in front of him to put the hackie sacks he had chosen back in the bin. He then told her those were the ones he was going to purchase. He was shocked and said she treated him like he was a thief. He also stated that it seemed like he was in her way. So again not a pleasant experience for several of us.

I love froggies! I’ve been going here since I was little and it was always the highlight of the day. They have the best and most fairly priced toys, kinda and caring staff, and welcoming environment!

great selection, super helpful and friendly staff! we got some gifts here recently and they helped us find exactly what we were looking for and explained different options. i also LOVE their selection of kids books

Going to get a special toy at Froggies has forever been a favorite family tradition. The toy-loving staff are enthusiastic and kind.

Decent little toy store with a variety of things. I would say mostly targeted for younger kids, but it does have some cheaperittle gag gifts and joke books as well, along with an assortment of some candy and sodas. It has a few toys from an older sort of generation but just little knick-knack stuff really, nothing you would really go out of your way to be looking for. I would say this is a good place to stop into if your in the neighborhood or driving by, or if you have a child. But as for an adult looking for retro type toys, certainly not a go to. But still has some nostalgic memories to offer for the adults as well, just not the blockbuster type gift.
