Fabulosa Books is such a gem. The selection is fantastic, and the staff, especially the owner, are incredibly kind and helpful. When I asked about a couple of books, he checked the computer, and even though they didn’t appear, he still went to the shelf to look just in case. The first time I visited, he even gifted me some magnets, and I brought him a coffee in return, which made him so happy. This store has such a welcoming vibe, and it’s definitely a must when in the Castro.

Great selection! (I especially loved the staff picks and the displays.) And everyone was super nice!

Fabulosa is a wonderful local book store that features an excellent and diverse selection, particularly of queer topics and authors. I came into the store looking for a specific book and the management was very friendly and helpful and immediately helped me find what I was looking for. The book was also priced well, which isn’t always the case with these smaller book stores. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a diverse book selection and welcoming atmosphere!

Great little book shop in downtown San Francisco that focuses on the LGBTQ community. It's a must stop if you are in this area of town.

Fabulosa is a gem in every way. I’ve bought poetry, fiction, health manuals, and vintage erotica from them — and trust that they keep far greater selection than that. I also appreciate their commitment to stocking diverse titles, with dedicated sections for area and ethnic studies and informed staff. They’re not as large as some of the other bookstores in the city, but, despite that, they’ve always had what I needed or been willing to order it for me.
