Duckbill Bookshop

Visited Duckbill for the first time today and loved it. Madison, one of the owners, is a friend, and it was fantastic to see her (shared) vision brought to life! We loved the selection of titles for kids and adults. It’s awesome to see the hard work that went into opening this place pay off in a warm, welcoming, bibliophile heaven. Here’s to more Indy bookstores thriving around Nashville.

Having an independent bookstore in my neighborhood is the flex I didn't know I needed to flex, but I will! The grand opening had me curiously surprised when I saw the books that I already have in my house featured on the shelves here at Duckbill. Yassssaa! Then, I'm able to order the books that may not be on the shelves. Done! And now, I meet Madison, one of the owners: she is smart, humble, unassuming but intentional about creating a great space to browse and explore books for every age with intentional ( not performative) inclusivity. Old Hickory is lucky to have this place!

Very cozy bookshop with a super diverse and impressive selection of books! For a small shop with limited space they are very smart about their book selection. Lots of kids and teens books too at great prices! So happy they are in the neighborhood!

Duckbill Bookshop is exactly what Old Hickory needed! The cutest, quaint local shop that features local authors & has the most popular novels in stock as well as recommendations for amazing books you have never even heard of… A hidden gem of Nashville, I will be buying all my Christmas gifts here!
