She patiently walked with us through selecting the perfect piece of Jesus art for our home. She never rushed us, answered every question, and made the entire experience feel personal and meaningful.nnBringing this artwork into our home symbolizes our commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We were delayed on our 5.5-hour Monday afternoon drive home from Mammoth Lakes, CA to Henderson, NV, near Boulder City. When we were within an hour of Vegas, Google Maps estimated our arrival to Deseret Book would be at 6:03 PM. Ugh, the store closes on Mondays at 6:00 PM.nnOur daughter Malia suggested we call the store to explain the situation and ask if there was any chance they could still accept the return of a pair of shoes that were too narrow for me. A lady graciously agreed to wait (I regret not getting her name). We arrived around 6:03, and a woman was watching by the door for us when we pulled up. Another woman stepped in to help us, also.nnSimilar acts of service to our fellow beings are likely ordinary for them, but such acts are extraordinary to me and mean so much. Talk about living faith and living their faith!nnTheir service reminded me of the Bible passage — “Come, ye blessed of my Father… For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat… I was a stranger, and ye took me in.” We were delayed and they waited for us. I appreciate their service to their fellow beings, as we read in Mosiah.nnThe DB staff deserve at least a 5^squared (or 5^cubed) rating!

Traveled 20 miles twice to the store for a Come Follow Me manual and they didn’t have one either time. Today went to the store for an Old ‘Testament Story Book for my grand children and again, they didn’t have anything. So, I looked on line (Deseret Book) for an Old Testament story book and of course everything I wanted was either on back order or unavailable. Don’t waste your time with Deseret Book. Guess I’ll go to a Christian bookstore

This bookstore has it all. Even if you arent a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you can find books and more that are helpful in bringing you closer to God and Jesus Christ.

This place is delightful! The women working here are so helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to help you find what you need in addition to being kind. They help explain everything you need for the temple and answer all your questions. The selection is really good too. Lots of books for all levels, gifts, and more. I only wish there was another one further south in town.
