Love this bookstore!! It’s very well curated. It’s not a huge store, but it doesn’t need to be. Every section features highlights and bookseller recommendations that are spot on – both trendy books and hidden gems. Friendly staff and they have a bookstore stamp too!

It’s giving “The Shop Around the Corner” except in the alternate timeline where Meg Ryan doesn’t close her store due to big bad Fox and instead moves to LA.nnI’ll write a better review later but for now I will just say…best bookstore in LA!!! And dare I say, best bookstore in the universe? Because why would you go anywhere else?!nnAt Chevalier’s you can:nnAttend book trivianSupport your local community through a ginormous neighborhood book clubnSee famous peoplenSee famous dogsnSee non-famous dogsnTalk to cool humans that work herenGet inspired by an awesome window displaynListen to people say “thanks for calling Che-vaw-lee-ay’s books” (I promise you it’s very satisfying)

very small, went on a Saturday and felt cramped kept having to move out of the way of other visitors, wish there was more seating areas or chairs, due to if u stand to look at a book u r in someones way. toys were fun for kids, very beautiful fun books for kids. cashiers/ staff were teenage looking girls.

Nice relaxing book store with friendly staff. The store is mainly for young adults and children; the child's book nook is so cute and comfortable! I'd strongly recommend taking a daughter, son, niece, or nephew to have them in an environment that's fun surrounded by books. Likewise to many bookstores, the philosophy section isn't too huge and is mixed in with spirituality books. I think this is a great bookstore if you're an individual who's more politically left leaning. They have quite a bit of books that are from the standpoint of social justice.nThey are also a gift store of the sorts selling pins, cards, and the like.nOn top of it, the different stores surrounding the bookstore are great. There's a pizza shop next door as well as a coffee shop across the street that has alot of outlets and quite a bit of seating. So once you're done picking up a book, you can head on over caffeinate up and breeze through the book You picked out.

This is a bookstore but also a community, they leave a warm feeling in my heart whenever I go. They make space on local authors and writers who are POC and LGBT. They build their collections to reflect their readers
