I went there specifically for the DVD section. Although the used DVD's are, in my opinion, overpriced at $6 each, I did find a classic 4 disc Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes set with 39 episodes and an unopened rare Brian DePalma thriller, Body Double that made it worth the price. Normally used DVD's go for $1 each wherever they're still sold but I understand why a quaint little boutique like this has to charge more. The service was polite, helpful and attentive. I recommend this book store.

Cathy’s Half Price Books hits on all levels. Prices u2705nFriendly staff u2705nBook selection u2705nStore Atmosphere u2705nI was a youngster living in havertown when this store opened and very happy to see they are still in the business of getting books to the people at fair prices. I had some free time so I planned a visit to the book store without any agenda. I had a nice and tranquil time browsing their large inventory and well organized shelves. This is a store I can really get down with, small business, awesome and kind people, and they sell half priced books! What’s not to love honestly. Such good vibes. Keep up the great work CHPB, I will always keep coming back!

Good section of books in all genres. Thu1ebb store carries new books along with new popular releases. Staff can even order if not available in store

This is a very cute and cozy little bookstore. They have a variety of genres, but my favorite section is the overflow section where the books are around two dollars each and the new releases and best seller section at the front of the store. I also sold some books to them. The process was very quick. You just have to call ahead to schedule a time and they’ll give you a price for the selections they will accept and credit your account. I was able to buy a newer book at a discounted price using the credit that I got. I would definitely shop here or sell books here again in the future.

I’m appalled. I’m literally sitting outside the store because I went inside with the intention of making some purchases. I visited this store years ago and everything was ok so I decided to visit. Today, I walked in and was ignored by the cashier. My mother walked in 10 mins after I did and was also ignored. The worker pretended as if we didn’t exist but every white person that came in after us, she greeted pleasantly and was courteous to. I even walked around for a bit to see if it would change but she was still ignoring us and I decided to leave. I will never spend my money at a place like that. Ever! Disgusted and disappointed.
