Burke’s Book Store

Very cool bookstore! I really liked that they had a section of books about Memphis and one with Memphis authors. I found some really great new and used non-fiction reads that I ended up buying. They have a few sections of fiction (but no romance, alas) and a large selection of nonfiction of a wide variety. I spent about an hour there wandering and it was fun. The staff was great and I'll definitely be back. They also offer order online and pick up in store.

Great little bookstore in a cute district. Surrounded by other shops and restaurants. The staff is great and the selection is very organized. There are a ton of old used books, but there are a selection of new ones as well. We bought a book about how to make your house fit for a witch! Enjoy!

I was staying in the hostel down the road and while getting to know the area this bookstore was my favorite place to roam. Most of the staff were very friendly and great to chat with. They had a plethora of styles to choose from with amazing pricing. If I wasn't downsizing and driving across the country I would have purchased…a lot. Thank you for giving a great vibe in cooper-young!

A hidden gem! Very friendly staff and the store has a variety of books, new and used, children and adult, local and worldwide authors. The store is smaller than I thought it would be, but big enough to browse the shelves for an hour or two. Fun sayings tucked where least expected and the decor relates to books, even old typewriters on display. Chairs are throughout the shop. Parking is a lot is connected to several of the shops/restaurants in the area.

This place is an absolute delight and a must-see for book lovers of all ages. It's the perfect place. It has that old book smell in the air and vibe of both calm amd adventure. Definitely recommend 👌
