Books on the Ave

Every time I go there they are always super nice and the prices are absolutely reasonable. I always say im gonna go in with a limit and come out with atleast a box. I love that not many people know of this location so it makes it easy to find hidden gems

Books for all ages very family friendly place

The store is about average size for many of the independent bookstores in the area. I didn't notice a new book area but mostly used titles. Books are grouped into sections and appear to mostly be titles from the last twenty years. The ratio of paperbacks to hardcovers is high. A lot of options for avid contemporary readers as everything is a well-priced value. Sections also include an excellent well-stocked kid's area. I found the books to be neat and well-organized.nnThe uniqueness of this bookshop is in its eclectic array of items beyond the books. There is a little of everything from records, comics, graphic novels, and other unique and interesting items. Nothing seems to be high-end collectibles, just fun, interesting stuff nerds like me like to see when they go shopping. I thought the staff was friendly, and overall, a unique experience. I will be back.nnNot a place for people looking to acquire ephemera, vintage, antiquarian, or collectible first editions.nnHeads up, the parking out front, I thought, was quite treacherous. Be aware that the main road is busy, and cars are coming fast.

Good selection of used kids books. The cashier was super nice and friendly.

I was searching for a local bookstore when I came upon Books on the Ave and I was quite impressed. It's cozy and has a hometown feel which I fell in love with. I noticed they had a lot of unique books at great prices. I was able to complete my Christmas shopping, but will be back to personally shop for myself soon.
