Books on 7th Ave

I am usually not in this area a lot, but my daughter & I wanted to go check out this bookstore for some used books so we took the drive down. When we arrived, I realized I remembered this spot from when I was a kid, I just hadn't been back since I was younger.nnThis spot is absolutely STUFFED with books, comic books, VHS tapes and more. You could spend quite a long time wandering around looking at all of the books they have to offer. It can be slightly overwhelming especially if you are looking for something specific and aren't exactly sure where to find it. We still had a lot of fun though wandering around and seeing what we could find. If you are looking for the prices, they are written in pencil on the inside of the books. You can find a mixture of mostly used books along with some new books.nnThey have a cute shop cat that you can sometimes spot wandering around, or asleep at the front. The woman who was working the register the day we visited was friendly! They also had a cart out-front with a number of books that were free to grab. There is plenty of parking out-front.

I'm a sucker for used books and this place got me right away! There are so many books! Too many to see if they have everything on my mental list as I went late but the ladies working are super kind and didn't rush us at all. I'll definitely be coming back!nnSomehow a book that's on my mental list to read was sitting at the front counter so I picked that up too. This place has a lot for bibliophiles and anyone just perusing for a good book to read. Books may be in excellent, good and/or used condition. Highly recommend!

I got the pleasure of visiting this store today. The organization of all the books and different sections is truly appreciated. So many finds and at a discounted price. And the box of dice was the perfect find for my daughter. This place is truly amazing. I will be back

One of the last standing local bookstores in Phoenix! Even if it seems small from the outside, this bookstore is actually pretty big with tons of treasures. Not to mention the very welcoming owners and their friendly cat. I found a lot of theatre playbills, some old books and varied magazines. Thank you!

Recommend! You have never seen so many like new books in your life. This is a dream come true if you are looking to feed that voracious reading appetite. Great prices and open 6 days a week. Lots of parking and be sure to ask about the store mascot, Dorian Grey!
