Very happy to have a bookstore in Brookland! I’m looking forward to seeing them expand their selection. The upcoming events seem interesting! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Stupendous!nnThis is a ridiculously cute little bookstore nestled in an excellent coffee shop. They have a great selection of books—left-oriented, but also a wide range of fiction and some interesting stray used finds. And I've been to events here: an open night Palestine fundraiser, great book talks, political organizing meetings, events about music history.nnIn the daytime, there is space to grab coffee and a pastry and chill with one of the books. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This is my favorite bookstore! They have a wonderful collection of curated books. The recommended picks are fun to browse through. I can count on Bol to introduce me to a range of new and diverse group of authors.nLocated in a cafe (which serves excellent coffee) is an added bonus!

Bol is simply amazing! I discovered the bookstore through an event they organized for Dr. Nicole Fabricant’s book (on organizing against unequal land use and pollution – it’s called Fighting to Breathe). They have an awesome set of speakers/events year-round. They also have an amazing collection of books and I was introduced to authors I had not heard of before but whose work I deeply enjoyed reading!

This hidden gem of a bookstore nestled within a coffee shop has become my go-to sanctuary. The collection of contemporary titles is both diverse and curated, offering a refreshing break from mainstream titles.nWhat sets this place apart is its commitment to social awareness for which Bol holds numerous events on social policies to create awareness and indulge in nuanced dialogue.
