I drove four hours to visit the bookstores, and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE I WAS THERE!!! As an avid reader, I found one of the spots that touched my heart. It is so unique with the decor of every room and the selection of books. There is also a ton of bookish items perfect for gifts. I was able to get signed books and books from local authors. It was quite the experience. I adored the clerk working at the time, Emily. I felt like I had a book bestie/personal shopper with me. She listened to all of my over the top excitement, helped me decide on purchases, held things for me that I couldn’t carry. Emily is amazing! Thank you, Emily and Black Cat Books and Oddities for a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to come back!

Such a cute shop. There are actually two buildings. So many books and a lot of local authors as well. They carry oddities like crystals, small oils, stickers, prints, and other unique gifts. The staff is nice. The prices are very reasonable. Check out the Edgar Allan Poe room. I will definitely be back.

This is one of my fave bookstores!! I absolutely love the ambiance and the curation of not just the book selections but also the environment and room decor. I appreciate that each genre is organized into different rooms because it makes it less overwhelming. The staff is also always amazing. Tiffany has a very warm and welcoming presence and Kendra had some fantastic book recommendations specific to the theme I was looking for! The store is also very involved in the community and partners with other indie businesses and indie artists to host events both at the bookstore and on the square which are always a fun time

This place is amazing! I'm a Gen x goth chick all grown up and the creepy vibes of some of the rooms are lovely.nnStaff is quick with book recommendations and will happily order them for you.
