Didn’t know it was already open until a friend told me about it this past week!nnWas very excited to check it out and though it’s smaller than other Barnes and Noble locations I’ve been to, it’s “small and mighty” with sections of typical genres you’d find at a bookstore. There were also sections for games and gifts! Overall, it was a good experience, although I wished they had more settings (the also don’t have a Starbucks inside as most Barns and Noble would have).nnIt’s still worth checking out, as the city finally has a big bookstore open!

New, well stocked, very friendly, large inventory. Was able to hold a book that I couldnt find at other barns and noble locations. I wish there was a place to sit and read. Otherwise good place to grab a book if another place doesnt have it.

Stopped to check out the new store and it’s adorable. I actually like the smaller place, less walking but I feel like it’s not missing anything. Somebody definitely has an artistic vision and it shows. The place looks great! I see others talking about the lack of cafe, coming soon, they will be having a cafe right next door I believe. All is good. I thought all the people were really nice and knowledgeable the day I went. Most places employees don’t have very good customer service skills these days, this place DOES have pretty decent employees from what I saw. Love it!

This Barnes and Noble is smaller than the Homestead location but absolutely packed with books, vinyl and merchandise, so much so that if you use a wheelchair or bring a stroller, you’ll have trouble getting into the nooks and crannies of the store that have been set up for different subjects. There could be a U-shaped section for romance but it will have a table in front of it with more books that you will need to maneuver around to reach the shelves. Those tables are everywhere right now to maximize display space. Really 4.5 stars because the manager had already discussed access with corporate, and was prepared to follow up. Selection was very good, as was customer service: they found the first book I wanted right away and were able to order the second one with no trouble. Lots of fun things like journaling and annotation supplies, a big manga section and a good selection of PA and PGH history and guidebooks. Kids section was also receiving good reviews from multiple toddlers carrying multiple picture books. Worth a visit.

It was great. Barnes and Noble opened at this location on Wednesday (November 19th). This bookstore has different sections of books (Fiction, Non-Fiction, etc). This place also has DVDs, CDs, Vinyl Records, and Record players for sale. I hope that Barnes and Noble is at the Meridian for a long time.
