I absolutely love Barnes & Noble. It’s my happy place—calm, cozy, and full of inspiration. I could spend hours wandering the aisles, flipping through books, and sipping coffee in the café. Every visit feels like a little escape into a world of stories.nnI love grabbing a coffee from the café, finding a comfy spot, and getting lost in a new book. Whether I’m there to buy something specific or just to look around, I always leave inspired and happy.nnIt’s not just a bookstore—it’s a little sanctuary for readers, dreamers, and anyone who loves that magical feeling only a good book can bring.
Nice decently maintained high traffic location. In addition to the usual books very large board game section, a section for Legos and puzzles, and an extensive Manga shelf. Prices are typical new book high and don't expect to see many discounts for fiction/SF/fantasy. Starbucks inside with a seating area. Customer service desk is staffed and decent amount of cashiers make the sometime long lines move at a decent speed. If you are looking for the most popular NYT or book Tok recommendations they are probably on a display table. For more obscure titles they can order them.
What a great day!! Had so many helpful employees that lead us in the direction of some Nancy drew books!!! Thank you. Such a great kids section, clean, well stocked and organized.nGrabbed some Starbucks and headed out the door. We will be back again.nnBarnes & Noble in Brentwood, TN, located at 1701 Mallory Lane, serves as a vibrant hub for readers of all ages and interests. With regular store hours—Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.—it offers accessible times for both weekday visits and weekend browsing. nnStepping inside, visitors are greeted by the inviting aroma of coffee wafting from the Starbucks café, complemented by cozy seating areas ideal for reading or relaxing with a drink. The store is thoughtfully stocked with diverse offerings—from bestselling books and timeless classics to children’s stories, toys, games, DVDs, and stationery—making it a delightful destination for family members of all ages. nnWhat truly enhances its appeal are the community-driven events and activities. Notably, a beloved weekly highlight is the children’s storytime sessions (often held Monday and Saturday mornings around 11 a.m.), hosted in a charming area with a forest-themed stage—often compared to the Hundred Acre Wood from Winnie the Pooh. During these events, a storyteller engages young audiences interactively—sometimes even featuring character appearances like Clifford the Big Red Dog for added magic. nnThe store’s reputation for customer experience is high—garnering a 4.6-star rating from over 1,500 reviewers, thanks to its organized layout, helpful staff, and inviting café atmosphere. Whether you’re seeking your next great read, attending an author event, or enjoying a quiet coffee, this Barnes & Noble location truly feels like a literary oasis nestled in the heart of Brentwood.
I want to thank John at the Cool Springs Brentwood store for helping me with an in-store pick up order I made online. He was able to go above and beyond and took care of my special order request very professionally which that made my day. I am very grateful for people like him.
The smell of new books and coffee greet you as soon as you walk through the second door. It was a wonderful experience especially since bookstores are declining. Check out was a very smooth process. They have a wonderful selection of books. I found mine best of luck on you finding your new book!
