Amazing Imaginarium

This happened at the Nashville Celebrity Comic con on February 7th. Unfortunately I did not take a picture a clean picture of the stickers, of the lanyards, or of the stand arrow bracelet (which was very small), which I should have for the sake of full context. I hardly looked at the stickers, lanyard, or stand arrow bracelet thing in either box, so I can’t say much about the quality or the pricing of either of them, but I highly suspect they all carry the same issue as the figurines.nnI got 2 $20 boxes at their stand. $40 in cash. The boxes in particular were of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. The stickers were maybe fine, same for the lanyards and stand arrow bracelet, so I won’t rip on them too much. But the figurines are a completely different story. It was immediately obvious that they were at some point bought off of a drop-shipping site (alibaba) as one of the names was spelled wrong. I was very quickly able to find both the figurines, and the real ones that they were imitating.nnI called the number, and was able to talk to a store associate who said they were located across the street from the physical store. They to their credit very helpful and said that a shipping container labeled “anime” was bought from California that contained ~50,000 items. So I will at least give some leeway here, as well as for getting my $40 by returning the items to the vendor at the con.nnBut, that’s the end of the positives. I can’t say what the price for the stickers would be at the store, or from wherever they originally came from. (I saw a response to a review say $1 so we’ll say $6 for the 6 stickers from 2 boxes.) The lanyards and stand arrow bracelet have the same issue as the stickers. (Another response to a review said that a pin was $7, so we’ll assume $14 for 2 lanyards and 2 arrow necklaces from 2 boxes.) However I can find the price on alibaba of the two figures, which is $3.10 for 2 sets. I’m hoping that poor quality knock offs like this aren’t sold in the real store.nnAdding all of those prices together from the two boxes is much less than $40, but the biggest issue is that these figures were even put into a box in the first place. They are clearly poor imitations and should never be given to people in a blind box. Looking at other reviews on here, this kind of thing has happened before.nnWhile I understand how many of these mystery boxes are sold and the amount of items that go into them, more due diligence needs to be done to minimize the amount of items like these getting through. I understand that this is not malicious or intended, but at the very least, big items like figurines should be checked for some kind of legitimacy. The pictures I’ve attached are: the knock off figurines in the box, the listing on alibaba that they came from, and the real ones they’re trying to imitate. I hope this is a complete enough reasoning for the what I think is a very justified 1-star review.nnEdit because the owner decided to respond to this: Yes I got my money back. Everything is mostly all good on my end specifically. “We” weren’t helpful on the phone, the customer associate who answered it was.nnThe audacity to say “To be fair every item in our boxes is available at almost all comic cons and would cost yoy (sic) 30 at least to buy separately from other vendors.” Is wrong in a few ways like: 1. Not showing care enough about what you’re putting into your boxes and grossly oversimplifying the issue. 2. This part, “every item in our boxes is available at almost all comic cons…” can’t be true because most items sold in a con aren’t drop-shipped items. They’re things that people have made or things that people and are reselling.nnSeems when you’re faced with bad criticism, you deflect by referencing customers from the previous year. My 1-star review doesn’t go away because an issue that should not happen was corrected. Why would you stand by this box in particular? If you want to solve customer issues like mine, then look at what you put into your boxes and fix the issues before they happen. Try taking accountability instead too.

Loved the store, it basically like a museum

So much stuff!!! This place is a nerds or collectors dream. Everything from just about any era. Toys from the 70's to current. Funkos, action figures, hot wheels, comic books, TCGs, barbie, horror, fun mystery boxes and more.

So much cool stuff here that you can't find everyday. All the toys, figurines from every show you can imagine.

Theres plenty of the worlds most unique things to shop for here. Several different sections showcasing the most amazing unique products. No wait for checking out. Great service. Family friendly. Not hard to find with lots of eye popping Halloween/fall decorations outside. Would love to come back!
