Nice selection of second hand books. They have large bookshelves with a variety of genres and types including manga. They also sell records, CDs, a small selection of post cards, and some other miscellaneous items by the check out.nThey do trade-ins so you can sell items for cash or store credit. Staff are always nice and we get lost in chatting with them. There is no parking lot but there is paid street parking.

Excellent indie bookstore with a great reward system (don't have to be a member to enjoy it, open to all) with a great vinyl selection. The MOST EXPENSIVE books are behind the desk for security reasons. I also got a special edition of current (as of '25) blockbuster fantasy book (that's normally $35-40) for $21!

On one street is a bookstore selling new books and one selling used books. This one sells used books and records organized on large shelves. Because the books are used, you'll never know what you will find. In terms of travel books, they had a better-than-most collection, including guidebooks to Italy, Greece, and other countries.

I have loved going to this bookstore for years! The have excellent extended and later hours and a large selection. Lately, they have been posting rare/interesting ascquistions on their Instagram account. I specifically stopped in tonight after seeing that they had a acquired a few Edward Gorey books and a first edition of The Name of the Wind. Etienne was working when I stopped in and was extremely helpful!

Amazing Books & Records is a treasure trove, constantly replenished with new additions to browse through and buy. I spend a great deal of time there, and it's always a real pleasure. Eric Ackland and his staff have become friends, whom I greatly enjoy talking to. I mainly go to Squirrel Hill, but Shadyside is also wonderful. I hope this shop will stay in business forever.
