Wonderful bookstore that while lacking in depth (you'll get the joke when you visit) it more than makes up for in its very well curated selection of local interest, art & architecture and fiction offerings.

what a delight to have display windows full of pre-loved books & music instead of Just More Stuff™️!! i picked up a lovely first edition to read while i do my own adventuring here. such a selection in the small space, too. a wonderful gem to stumble upon!

It’s a triptych of a store ; three panels behind glass ; the left most one has record albums, the middle is devoted to literature and the right to art books; it’s almost like a red light district store with beautiful books standing behind shop windows. Love the curation. Prices are quite reasonable. Outstanding staff .nnI made a faux pas – I asked them to hold onto a book and I forgot to pick it up – it’s Cortazar’s short stories which include Blow Up. I went there today to pick it up but it wasn’t there. My bad.

The BEST place for books in SF if you love theory, really. Found James Scott, Adorno, modern theorists like Davis, and topped with a bernard shaw! Incredible woman at the checkout, told me a lot of interesting stories about Adorno and her youth… I love people like these and places like these. The prices are FINALLY normal. No ridiculous overprices
