It wasn’t until 2001 when seventeen software developers met at the Snowbird resort in Utah and put together a document known as ‘The Manifesto for Agile Software Development’ that incorporated all the lightweight software development methods of the 1990s, such as Scrum (1995), into a working draft of best practices.

This document was modified over many years until the creation of the ‘Agile Glossary’ in 2011-an open source repository of knowledge by the world’s agile practitioners.
