Official synopsis Publisher

Karen Anderson returns as a consultant for the FBI.

After settling into a comfortable life in sunny Florida with her partner, James Caulfield III, Karen received an unexpected call from her former boss at the FBI. Mark asked her to consult on a drug case investigating Devon Smith, aka Heavy D. Karen long suspected Heavy D of killing her father and hoped to put him behind bars once and for all.

Karen agreed to join the task force and flew to Boston for a briefing. She learned about Devon Smith’s activities, the drug kingpin under investigation, and almost didn’t recognize him since she hadn’t seen him since high school. Karen’s assignment was to befriend Heavy D’s girlfriend Gloria, not an easy task since other agents tried and failed. Karen and James took up residence in Newport RI so she could support the task force versus Karen going alone. She supplied the team with valuable information in a few short months; in fact, she uncovered more information than the team unearthed after a year-long investigation.

Meanwhile, Karen was unaware that a crazed gunman was doggedly hunting her while she hunted Heavy D.
