Àbákẹ́ Books & Cafe

We are so excited to have a beautiful café walkable on this side of the park! Stopped by this past week for their soft opening before the grand ribbon-cutting, and we absolutely love the warmth and the thoughtfulness of the space. Excited to watch them grow, and hope to meet many new neighborhood friends here!

it’s a really nice, cozy place aesthetically but i just wish they had a menu to look at while standing in line, and the first thing i noticed when i walked in was that no music was playing. i feel like having a menu and playing music especially if the line gets a little long makes the waiting feel a little shorter. there was also only one worker doing both jobs of being a cashier and barista and i feel there should’ve been at least one other person again to help with the waiting. granted it was a sunday when i went but it’s a lot to handle on your own. sorry if i sound like a karen lol, great place tho, hope this helps!

Such a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been dying for a coffee shop within walking distance for us at the edge of the Heights and not only did we get an inclusive space owned by a woman of color, but also a bookstore?! So fun and so timely as I needed a place to write my stories! Love love love. The matcha is perfectly green and not too sweet, surrounded by thoughtful design and plenty of seats and fast wifi. What more could a girl ask for?

this cafe is a must visit if you are in the area. Amazing original coffee blends and the pastries are great as well. The owner, Peace has created a cozy respite in the Heights to gather with friends or unwind with a book and tea. I was there on Saturday with my children and the barista made them a fabulous hot chocolate! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves ❤️✨

Awesome cafe!! So glad to have this space in the neighborhood, the owner is so lovely and did an amazing job with the space. Delicious coffee and treats too!
