Smith Discount Books

I commute via e-bike, and part of that is carrying a backpack. In that backpack is a $1,200 camera and another item I do not feel comfortable 'leaving at the front door'.nnI was waiting for a nearby shop to open, when I noticed Smith Books. I was excited to check it out, and had time and cash to burn, on my day off.nnUpon entering, I was asked to set my bag by the door. Leaving this at the door is unsafe and leaves nobody to assume liability if my property is stolen.nnAlso, welcoming your customers by treating them as potential criminals, is not a great business practice.

Small mom & pop book store. They’ve been here since I was in high school, even earlier according to the nice owner. My child is happy with the book she chose.

Great selection, but not so much of a discount on books.

I mean the books are used but in good condition, still most are only like a dollar cheaper than the publisher price. Depends on what you're looking for I suppose, but a dollar difference doesn't seem that great for a book reseller. Not a bad place by any means, but if you're looking for a bargain book seller this ain't it
