Psychopaths A Modern Primer

Psychopaths, the word inspires terror in our mind, thanks to the popular depiction of the termed people in popular media. They are often portrayed as killers, often psychotic and full of rage. Question is, do they exist in the real world? And if so, how are they and how can we protect ourselves from their harm?In this book, we explore some aspects of this disorder (currently psychopathy is characterized under the broader term of Antisocial Personality Disorder). There will be real-life examples and true stories of personal interactions with the psychopaths(names changed for obvious reasons). Psychopaths occupy all positions in society, from blue collared laborers to soldiers, business leaders and professors. Not all psychopaths are killers or are after you, but still the damage they can do is substantial. It is wise to understand this pathology and the ways to detect psychopaths early. This short book is not written to be a fear-mongering thriller, but with the aim of educating the general public with the end-goal of protection of the society at large from the effects of psychopathy and commonly related (co-morbid) pathologies.
