About the book
Walking In the War is a poignant narrative of war and the chaos and uncertainties it brings in the lives of two young boys. The young author Shivaansh was drawn in by the images and sounds of the current Ukraine War he witnessed on BBC television. This project started as an assignment in his creative writing class and was built into a full story amalgamating imagination and facts. The story, refracted through the lens of a six-year-old mind, focuses on the gestures of humanity and kindness that two boys experience walking in the war, while also faintly feeling the forebodings of a world out of joint.
About the Author
Shivaansh loves to read, write and compose poems. His first book of poems ‘Sprinkles’ was published when he was four. Soon after, he wrote his second book ‘Clowning in 2020’ during the Corona lockdown. ‘Walking In the War’ is his third book. Shivaansh holds multiple world records.
