Great shop for comics, books and board games. They have some nice new things, and also some classic things for sale that are still brand new. They also have a place to sit and read or play board games. Worth stopping by to see what they have or could help you find.

This is a fantastic shop for comic books, board games, and other unique treasures. There's a sense of community in the space and the owner, Jeremy, is super knowledgeable. He even offered to help me source comic series specific to my interest and head great recommendations on indie presses to watch.nnIf you read or enjoy games, there's something at Outland Mercantile for you. Very excited the shop is open! Great set up, I see much board game playing in our future. Found 3 of the most darling children’s Halloween board books to give as gifts. Great variety of items in the store. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Will be back!!

Shelves upon glorious shelves of colorful storytelling perfection—each one overflowing with adventure and romance, horror and excitement.nnWho curated these books?nnA comic book sommelier?nnObviously.nnThe staff aren’t employees—they’re friendly sages of nerdery. Need a recommendation? They’ll recite a skald-like poem about a book or game tailored to your dirty, dirty predilections.nnAnd, oh, the games!nnI didn’t just play games there. I experienced them. I lived them.nnI was officially the 100th customer, and never have I been so honored! My wedding day? Nothing! The birth of my child? A pittance! But contributing to this sanctuary… this cathedral of comics… this glorious gamery… this beautiful port in the storm of mediocre shops… THAT means something to me! Just thinking about this momentous moment, I feel a tear roll down my cheek and drop to my keyboard.nnI will be starting a petition to rename Kansas City, MO, to Outland Mercantile, MO.nnWho’s with me?

What a cool spot! Great selection of board games, comics, books, dice, etc. The folks who run it are super friendly and welcoming, and I'm excited to bring friends up to play board games or dnd in their social area.
