Books-a-million Hanover in Arundel Mills Mall is by far one of the best book stores I've ever been to. Every book store has books, right? What they don't all have is the service and atmosphere you'll find at this particular one. The employees you'll find at this location are helpful, patient, polite and down right amazing people. It's not every day you can say a stores atmosphere made a difference in your shopping experience, but here you'll find just that. You'll find time to browse and read without someone breathing down your neck to buy buy buy. But you'll also find someone around every corner to help located specific titles or just to help find the type of book you're interested in. You'll find someone to chat with about your manga collection, your thoughts, your job, your coin collection or just your general interests. Anyone can throw books on a shelf and sell, not everyone can throw books on the shelf and create an environment you want to continue to come back to. I've yet to encounter anyone in this store that wasn't friendly or helpful. Not to mention this store is always clean and organized. I'll always go out of my way to go to this location, I'd recommend it to anyone. Seems to me that regardless of what you're looking for, you'll be able to find it here. You couldn't ask for a better neighborhood book store. Kids, adults, funny, religion, action, horror, politics, magazines, toys, education, stuffed animals, journals, coloring books, legos, great people and frozen yogurt. What more could any of us ask for? A++ HIGHLY recommended. Love this place!

I placed an online order for a book. Upon arrival to get this book the pages and cover was bent up. I drove an hour for this book and it’s unacceptable to think a customer would want to spend their money on something bent up. I wish I took pictures however, I had my daughter walk the book back in and return it

Manager refused to honor the price. Told me that the price they quoted was for the sale next week not for the day I bought the book. Their systems were updated with the sales price and she said that it was for them to get ready not for the customers. Felt targeted and not valued as a customer. If your systems is updated I should be offered the sale.

Nice Store. I walked in looking for The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. There were so many books that I couldn't find this classic…. so I bought the book from a discount seller online.nnGreat place to buy random gifts, less so if you want something specific.

The manager is extremely rude and abrasive and lacks basic understanding of social cues. From the comments on here, it seems that it’s a pattern of behavior that is not addressed. The store closes early, yet they do not shut the gates and opt to bark at people that they’re closed. When we came in to the open store the manager began barking at us that they are closed, so we turned around and started heading out. My mother merely tried to mention that she was happy to see that Books A Million still existed. The manager barked back “well we are closed.” The lack of social intelligence and horrific communication skills did make me laugh, but I will not be going back and giving them my business.
