Arches Bookhouse

Great bookstore. They have a lot of options packed in to this place. I found multiple copies of each book I searched for. From modern printings to old copies depending on what you're looking for. The selection was great, the prices were great, the people were great. Have saved this bookstore to my favorites so I can come back regularly.

This is my favorite bookstore in Portland! My husband and I make a special trip up here every few months. It’s carefully curated and has an excellent collection of used books. Some favorites we’ve found: Dorothy L. Sayers, CS Lewis, Chesterton, PG Wodehouse, Northrop Frye, TS Eliot, and others. It’s a joy!

The owner has long and deep experience to share on publishing, book collecting, community weaving, and more. If you are a book lover, keep this place on your map.

Just a really fantastic little bookshop. A perfect combination of general organization and the chaos of an old world book shop. The owner is kind and very knowledgeable. If you are looking for something specific, don't hesitate to ask. They also had a fantastic little collection of Black Sparrow Presses, which if you collect them, you know it's a beautiful thing to see so many together.
