As a thriller and romance author, I’m always visiting Barnes & Noble stores for inspiration.nnThe Barnes & Noble at Town Square in Las Vegas was the perfect place to visit after a full week at my thriller author convention. I was able to talk with the staff and tell them about the books I write, thrillers and polar exploration, and they were genuinely interested in what I had to say. The staff was inviting and courteous, which made the visit even better.nnIt was interesting to learn that this wasn’t a custom-built Barnes & Noble location but rather a space they moved into. Way to go for reuse and recycle, right?nnThe book stacks are much taller than at most Barnes & Noble stores, which actually makes it feel like a real, hard-core bookstore instead of a wide, open layout. Secretly, I wish for a public piano in the store. I’m a beginning pianist and violinist, and I’m working on my YouTube channel. I thought it would be super cool to do a little video in the store. I guess they don’t sell pianos (lol), so that’s a bit out there, but it’s a neat idea.nnThe only thing missing is the classic in-store Starbucks so we can hang out and enjoy books while drinking a hot chai tea latte.nnPlaces like this, with their meandering stacks, remind me of my upcoming thriller The Magellan Deception, a global, high-stakes adventure where discovery and danger collide. The atmosphere here somehow had that same energy, full of mystery and curiosity.nnThe one drawback is parking. There isn’t any right next to the store, so you have to park in the main lot and walk down the little street. It’s totally flat, though, so it’s not a big deal. That’s just how the Town Square mall is laid out.nnI’ll definitely be coming back here to escape the craziness of the Las Vegas Strip and find some intellectual sanity. This place gives me genuine inspiration for my next thriller novel. Kudos to the staff for making the store such a great experience.

Great Barnes and Noble with very friendly employees. It is quite smaller than the regular ones, but still great book selection.

I was looking for books and novels but I got Harry Potter merchs instead. I got Hufflepuffs book mark and Hogwarts Legacy keychain. They were really great quaility. Also, I got bling box from Howl's Moving castle. So cuteeee!!! They also have a shelf of Tarot cards and Oracle cards. This place is bright clean and peaceful. I love this place. I definitely come back here again.

OMG! This bookshop is literally the dream of every book lover. It’s really organised and clean. You can also find suggestions for like the order of book sagas and you can surely ask the employees. There are a lot of gadjets, both in general and for single books. This is a place also for journaling and movies lovers, as there is an entire aisle dedicated to different types of notebooks and an entire aisle with walls covered in movies dvd. There are also little walls for the most famous sagas or books(like harry potter, the sarah j mass universe and the fourth wing saga). Right near the door you can also find an area with A LOT of 50% off books. Surely recommend this paradise😍

Felt very uncomfortable by the interaction and after taking opinions from friends who work retail, I reported it to corporate.nnMariah, the manager, contacted me within a week, and was empathetic and invited me to the store to chat on the situation. She was very attentive to what I had to say and concerns I brought up (I returned my product because I found a better deal, but for others, $15 can be gas, a meal, etc—you don’t know people’s situations).nnOverall, good location but happy to know it also has great leadership and it was just a one off experience.nn—nnCool selection but a bit cramped.nnExperience usually is good, but just went to go return a book because I found it elsewhere (at no point did I mention to her where) and got attitude from the cashier who at one point told me, “I hope it doesn’t arrive damaged!”.nI’m sorry I found the same damn standard edition book for $15 elsewhere and don’t want your $30 copy. It’s not like it’s coming out of your paycheck, lady. 🙄
