Anya Book V

Upon her return once more to the compound of Lord Michael, the Gatekeeper; Anya finds that she is no longer under the ruling thumb of others within the confines of the home. Aware that changes had taken place that undermined her safety; Anya ventures beyond the wall and into a future of the unknown. One moment she is alone in a hilly field, the next she is suddenly swept up by a lone horseman who takes her beyond reach of those she left behind. All too soon Anya becomes a free spirit and slips away from the silent attendant and begins to make her own way. Using her sources of mystic tools, she shelters in the darkness where she is visited by those who seek either to protect her or bring her back. Rebellious at the interference of others, Anya sets out alone seeking and finding her way to a gleaming bridge. It is there that she makes the decision to cross over to what could well lead her to nowhere or a place of great importance. With renewed faith, Anya sets forth on a new adventure. She held in her heart the hope that those who would now cross her path would share the enlightenment of self as she continued to do so.
