The staff is always so knowledgeable and helpful in directing me to that perfect gift for the grand boys and girls.nThe wrapping is beautiful and time saving.nThe added gift card option is great so the little ones can do their own shopping to get what they like, and learn about handling money.nI saw a comment about being able to purchase similar or same items online, but nothing beats the child touching the game/book/toy and seeing the joy when the experience is just right for them.

We always get all our gifts from here! They have signs up to help you know what’s developmentally appropriate for each age group. They have a great selection and friendly employees. Support your local toy store!

This is a store I have shopped at for years and have recommended countless times. Even though you can find most of what they sell on Amazon or various places for somewhat cheaper, I’ve always thought that shopping local and the toy store experience can often outweigh those benefits. But I will say I will never be returning to this place and on top of never recommending again, I will actively share my deep concerns with this business to all of my many parent and grandparent friends.nnA few days ago I was in the store having a pleasant time shopping with my 3 year old child. There were 2-3 employees working. After a while an older woman came in. I would guess she was either the owner or a manager based on the sense of authority she seemed to have. They all proceeded to have a jovial, cheerful conversation that could easily be heard as we walked around shopping. I couldn’t help but overhear their conversation. The older woman was leading the conversation, and had prompted the discussion of their disgust with the changes that the administration is making to the Smithsonian in DC. I personally found their conversation to be humorous at first. This conversation was maybe excessive in intensity but to each their own; however, it quickly turned disturbing.nThe older lady proceeded to announce that, “Someone needs to shoot Trump. That man needs to die.”nOne of the employees said, “Someone did shoot him.” And she responded while laughing, “Yeah, but it didn’t work.”nAs they proceeded to talk more about how the president should be assassinated, I moved my child away in hopes we wouldn’t have to listen to more.nnFor days it bothered me but I continued to blow it off. I am ashamed to admit that I had come to think that people talking like that is normal. That thinking like that and feeling no shame in talking like that is normal. Not good but normal. I was wrong. Thinking and talking like that is disgusting. It’s wrong. They were vile and outside of reason. I absolutely will not give my money or let other people unknowingly give their money to people who think it is normal to support murder because they don’t like something or someone. The logic of the people in that children’s toy shop, would have justified the shooting of me if their disgusting inhumanity was taken to its logical conclusion…. And all of this because she was mad that Trump doesn’t like a painting. What in the world? These people are crazy at best.
